Vehicle Weigh Pad Kits
Weigh any vehicle.
Wherever it stands.
SmartWeigh weigh pads show you the weight on every wheel of a vehicle. Check axle loads and gross weight on your own site, without driving to a weighbridge. Lay the pads down, drive on and read the weight on a wireless display. Sets come in 4, 6 or 8 pads.
Quick, accurate and reliable portable weighing to prevent overloading.
The pads talk to the display or an Android phone app. No cables across the yard.
Every kit includes a 1 year calibration, and SmartWeigh offers calibration services when it is due again.

FIND YOUR PADS
Then match the pad to the weight of your vehicle. Two choices and you have your kit.
How many wheels?
Twin tyres on one side of an axle count as one wheel.
How heavy is the vehicle?
Go by the heaviest vehicle you will weigh.
Everything you need to weigh a vehicle arrives together. Nothing to source separately, nothing to assemble.
4, 6 or 8 pads, one under each wheel. Rated 1.5t to 20t each.
Wireless display in a carry case. Reads every pad and prints a ticket.
One per pad and one for the display. Recharge between jobs.
Set into each pad, so you can confirm the ground is flat.
Every kit leaves us calibrated, with a year included.

WHO USES WEIGH PADS
Without driving to a weighbridge to find out.
Haulage and fleets
Check axle weights at the depot before a loaded vehicle reaches the road.
Quarries and aggregates
Spot overloads at the loading point instead of at the gate.
Waste and recycling
Weigh skip lorries and refuse vehicles where they are loaded.
Agriculture
Weigh trailers and machinery on the farm without a fixed installation.
Construction and plant
Move one kit between sites as the work moves.
Vehicle builders
Check axle loads on bodies and conversions before they are handed over.
The pad rating is what one pad can carry. The number of pads in the kit is the number of wheels you weigh.
Nothing to dig, bolt down or wire in. The kit packs into cases and goes where the vehicle is.

It’s safe to say it was above its 3500kg gross weight limit. #OPTRAMLINE
Load removed, driver reported for the offence.
Customer case studies.
From single-vehicle owner-operators to multi-truck fleets, SmartWeigh systems are working out in the real world every day.
After researching what was available to us we […]
One for every wheel position. A two-axle vehicle needs 4, a three-axle vehicle needs 6 and a four-axle vehicle needs 8. Twin tyres on one side of an axle sit on one pad.
Each pad has a rating, and the weight on any one wheel must sit well under it.
- Up to 3.5t: the 1.5t SW-MINI-4 Mini Pad or the 2t SW-COMPACT-4
- Up to 7.5t: the SW-COMPACT-4, with an 8t kit capacity
- Over 7.5t: the 10t pads, in sets of 4, 6 or 8
- More than 10t on one wheel: the 20t SW-HEAVY-4
Yes, for vehicles up to 3.5t. The SW-MINI-4 Mini Pad reads on an Android phone app and has no display or printer. Every other kit comes with a wireless display and built-in printer.
No. The SW-MINI-4 app is Android only. If your team uses iPhones, use a dedicated Android device with the kit, or choose a kit with its own display.
Yes. The 10t pads handle HGV wheel loads. A 6 pad kit weighs a three-axle vehicle in one go and an 8 pad kit weighs four axles. A 4 pad kit weighs two axles at a time, so longer vehicles are weighed in stages.
Every kit includes a 1 year calibration. After that, SmartWeigh offers calibration services to keep your pads in date. Call 01603 485153 to book.
The whole tyre should sit on the pad.

- SW-LARGE: 450 x 700mm

- SW-COMPACT-4: 14kg each
- SW-STANDARD (400 x 500mm): 25kg each

- SW-LARGE (450 x 700mm): 40kg each
- Dynamic pads: 50kg each
Yes. The static pads are rated IP65, which means dust-tight and protected against water jets. You still need a flat, hard, level surface for accurate readings.
A flat, hard, level surface such as a concrete yard. Every wheel needs to sit at the same height, so level any wheels that are not on a pad. Slopes and soft ground are the most common cause of inaccurate readings.
Models we hold in stock are dispatched sooner. The larger kits, such as the SW-PRO-8 and SW-HEAVY-4, are made to order and take longer. Delivery times depend on the chosen shipping method, or call 01603 485153 for further information.
